Join our team. We are building something great. We are looking for a Python Developer to join our technology team supporting the Commodities and Global Markets group. This role is suited to someone with strong technical skills and clear communication who wants to deliver production software used across global financial workflows. You will contribute to all phases of software development—design, implementation, release and operational support—with a focus on continuous delivery and platform automation. The team builds and maintains financial management applications used by global stakeholders; success means reliably shipping well-tested features and keeping services stable in production. To succeed here you will collaborate across delivery teams and stakeholders, be self-motivated and adaptable, and take ownership of outcomes. Requirements

- 4+ years professional experience developing production applications in Python. - Demonstrable understanding of software design and application architecture; able to explain trade-offs and produce modular designs. - Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms; able to write solutions and reason about time/space complexity for non-trivial problems. - Experience designing and implementing decoupled components and APIs (REST or RPC) for service integration. - Practical experience building and debugging multithreaded or concurrent Python programs (threading, multiprocessing or asyncio); able to reason about race conditions and synchronization. - Strong debugging skills on Linux/Unix systems, including use of logging, debuggers and profiling tools. - Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, sockets, HTTP) as they apply to backend services. - Experience writing SQL and working with relational databases (Sybase, PostgreSQL or similar) and scripting for automation in Bash and Python.

Nice to have

- Experience writing production C++ code or integrating with C++ services. - Prior experience within banking, financial services or capital markets. - Experience with AWS and common cloud concepts (EC2, S3, VPC or similar). - Familiarity with Python unit testing frameworks (pytest) and automated testing pipelines. - Knowledge of SDLC practices such as CI/CD, code review and release management.
